Terms of service
Last updated:
Terms for using this website and making an enquiry.
About these terms
These terms cover use of the Te Tihi Contracting website, its enquiry form and client portal. Te Tihi Contracting is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Website information and enquiries
This website introduces our business systems and technology support. Descriptions are general information; suitability, availability and the details of any work need to be discussed with us. Sending an enquiry does not book a service, create a paid engagement or commit either party to proceed. A submission acknowledgement does not confirm that an email has reached our inbox.
Agreeing to work together
Any services require a separate agreement covering the scope, fees, timing and other relevant terms before work begins. These website terms do not replace or amend an agreed service contract. Any quotation, invoice or agreement made available through the portal retains its own applicable terms. These website terms do not change agreed prices, payment dates or engagement terms.
Using the website responsibly
Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the website, send malicious code or spam, impersonate someone else, or submit information you are not entitled to share. Give accurate contact details so we can respond, and avoid sending confidential system credentials or sensitive personal records through the enquiry form.
Client portal
Access only your own account and records you are authorised to use. Keep your sign-in details and private document links secure, sign out on shared devices, and tell Chris promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect accounts or investigate misuse; this does not remove your rights under an existing engagement or applicable law.
Content and intellectual property
Website content, branding and artwork belong to Te Tihi Contracting or their respective rights holders. You may view, link to and keep a copy of information for personal use or to consider working with us. Other reproduction, commercial reuse or use of our branding requires permission unless allowed by law. You retain any rights in material you send us; sending it allows us to use it to respond to your enquiry.
Privacy and external services
Our privacy policy explains how we handle website and enquiry information. The form and client portal are processed by our Odoo system, with enquiries routed through our email service. External websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control their content or availability.
Accuracy, availability and your rights
We take reasonable care with website information, but it may need updating and the site may occasionally be unavailable. Please confirm details with us before making decisions or relying on information for a particular project. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including those under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.
Changes and resolving concerns
We may update these website terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. Updates apply to future website use and do not retrospectively change a separate service agreement. Please contact Chris about any concern so we can try to resolve it. New Zealand law applies, without taking away any mandatory protections or rights to bring a claim that apply to you.
